Benefits of Reading to Animals

Motivation

Building motivation to read can be a huge barrier for children gaining important literacy skills.  The benefit to reading to an animal is that a child can pick any book they want and read aloud without the fear of being criticized for making mistakes.  The child will often form a bond with their reading animal buddy which will in turn give them the motivation to come back and read aloud again.

Our Animal Ambassadors
