The Delmarva Discovery Center is home to many amazing and educational reptiles, amphibians and fish! Taking care of these ambassadors of the natural world takes specialized knowledge and most importantly LOVE! It costs the DDC over $25,000 a year to feed and care for these animals. By sponsoring an animal you are helping to support many of which are only on public view year round at the DDC.
Adopting a DDC animal makes a great gift, especially for the animal enthusiast or avid fisherman in your life! We will provide you with a certificate, as well as displaying your name on the wall near your adopted animals’ exhibit for one year. Your money will go towards the care and feeding of the beautiful animals at the DDC.
Feeling adventurous? Adopt a snake! Our corn snakes and black rat snakes are beautiful animals, and snakes need special care too.
Some of our animals are stars! The DDC has provided over 4000 educational experiences for children during the 2010-2011 school year. Animals such as Monet the painted turtle, George the snapping turtle, and Fred the brittle star do not live in displays but are at the DDC to greet guests through live animal programs. Most of our live animal programs are performed for school groups, but ask how to meet these animals if you are interested.

The Delmarva Discovery Center encourages gifts from those who love the Pocomoke Riveer and Delmarva through a variety of means. Online donations are accepted and secured through Paypal.
The Capital Fund
Capital Fund dollars support the fabrication and installation of exciting exhibits at the DDC.
The Annual Fund
Annual Fund dollars support our annual operating budget and the Discovery Center’s annual program of member and visitor services. This year our Annual Fund goal is $100,000, a vital part of our annual operating budget. A full 100% of these funds go directly into programming and operational services that enhance the experience for our members and visitors. Your gift to the Annual Fund ensures that we're able to deliver quality educational programming and visitor / member services.
The Endowment Fund
Endowment Fund dollars go directly to supporting the Discovery Center's operating expenses and securing its continued operation. They also allow the DDC to provide exciting and educational opportunities for the community in the years to come. A named endowment may be established by a donor to the Delmarva Discovery Center by making a contribution of at least $50,000.
